Proof That I'm Turning 30

Magic in a Bottle

So here goes down another Pinterest pin that I actually DID.  I know, I'm surprised too.  I was so excited to try this "recipe" for cleaning the soap scum from the bath tub.  (As I type this, I can see my 20 year old self rolling her eyes).  I never thought I would get so excited about homemade cleaner but I'm always concerned about what chemicals I'm using (not so concerned that I still don't love me some Comet) but still.

Below is this awesome recipe that really really really works.  I mean, I made my mom a believer and now she is holding tent revivals about the stuff.

1 cup of vinegar
1/2 cup of good ole blue as a smurf Dawn dish soap
1 dollar store spray bottle

-Heat the cup of vinegar in the microwave until hot.  For me and my 1970's piece that equals one minute and thirty five seconds.  For the rest of you, 45 seconds.
-Pour into spray bottle with 1/2 cup of Dawn (the original pin calls for one cup of Dawn but it takes FOREVER to rinse....you all know that stuff goes a loooong way).
-GO TO TOWN! I sprayed all over the bathtub probably a ridiculous amount but I was just so excited!
-Wait for one hour and open.a.window.  For real.
-Get your little sponge or rag and just rub it down.  No scrubbing needed! Rinse and repeat and you will see a beautiful sparkly tub.

Okay, Twenty-Year-Old-Self, don't worry. I'm going shopping this week for summer clothes..my favorite shopping season!

    1. Morgan, I would love to hear how yours works! My mom tried it and used 1/3c Dawn and said it was still just fine so there you go.
