I have been reading a lot of books to Eliot and I try to make sure that I say the title and then the author's name. I AM HORRIBLE at remembering authors' names along with their titles and I do not want him to take on this trait. I also liked how, upon visiting Krista Cone's kindergarten classroom a while back, she taught the kiddies the authors to their favorite books.
As I've been doing this, I find myself leaving Eliot's room and his book "corner" humming the Reading Rainbow song. They always said the author of each book. (I guess I was paying more attention to Levar Burton's hairstyles and tank tops then remembering these great writers.)
So for those of you who were raised on this wonderful t.v. show (we always had to watch them on rainy days during recess) play this little ditty and take a trip down memory lane.
Ah memories!
